Rukiga MP Hopeful Capt Chris Kivumba Rallies People to Attend Katuna Boarder Reopening Thanksgiving

RUKIGA: Captain Damson Chrismas Kivumba the Rukiga MP hopeful has rallied people to attend Katuna border reopening thanksgiving dubed “Rukundo Egumeho” concert.

Captain Chrismas Kivumba who is also on the organizing committee for the thanksgiving while speaking to the people of Ruyumbu, Nyakashebeya parish Kashambya Sub- county Rukiga District, he used Easter holidays to rally people to attend the function.

Captain Kivumba said the thanksgiving is aimed at celebrating the reopening of the Katuna one stop boarder point which will boost business in Kigezi sub-region and bring back relationship between Uganda and Rwanda.

Meanwhile, Muhoozi who has declared his plan to retire from the army and contest as President of Uganda is set to officiate as the Guest of Honour during the celebration of Katuna Border re-openning in Kabale District.

The event slated for 19th April 2023, is being organized by a section of people strategically chosen from all the six districts that make up Kigezi Subregion, according to Balaam Barugahara, the MK Movement National Vice Chairperson.

Some of the other notable members of the Organising Committee include Nakawa Division RCC Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha, and Kabale District LC.5 Chairperson Nelson Nshangabasheija, among others.
