The archbishop of the church of Uganda, the Most Rev Steven Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has today launched Provincial Annual Youth and Students’ Convention (PAYSCO) Cup which will be competed for from Diocesan up to Provincial level.
The archbishop made the launch in his remarks while concluding this year’s Provincial Annual Youth and Students’ Convention (PAYSCO) at Mukono High School under the theme “Hope Alive” Romans 5:5 delivered from Church of Uganda’s theme for 2022, “Hope beyond affliction” Lamentations 3:21-24.
Kaziimba said that football is a good tool for evangelism especially to the youth citing that it enables them to keep fit. He added that himself as a person love playing football and that he knows how good the sport is.
“I was delighted to launch the PAYSCO Cup which will be competed for from Diocesan up to Provincial level. I love playing football and I know how good the sport is. It’s a good tool for evangelism especially to the youth and to keep fit” Archbishop Said.
He also extended his sincere thanks to Africa Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE) for offering a fully paid-up scholarship to Murungi Lawrence from Bunyoro Kitara Diocese who will be studying Mechanical Engineering at a Bachelor’s Degree level.
Lawrence won the Scholarship during Provincial Annual Youth and Students’ Convention (PAYSCO).
