KASESE – The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Uganda, arrived this afternoon in the South Ruwenzori Diocese for a three-day official pastoral visit.
His arrival was marked by a warm welcome at Rwimi Bridge in Kikongo, Rugendabara Town Council, where he was received by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev. Nason, as well as Mama Jane Baluku, clergy members, and jubilant Christians.
During his visit, Archbishop Kaziimba has a packed schedule that includes various significant engagements. He will begin by dedicating a Children’s Church in Rwensande, followed by the inauguration of a theatre dedicated to safe motherhood at Nyabugando Health Center. Additionally, he plans to pay a visit to the Kagando Rural Development Centre.
In alignment with his commitment to promoting self-sustainability at both the household and community levels, Archbishop Kaziimba will tour several villages to observe and learn about strategies for achieving food security. This reflects his dedication to improving the lives of the local populace.
Archbishop Kaziimba will undertake a number of other vital ministerial duties during his visit, including meetings with the clergy and their spouses. His presence is sure to inspire and uplift the faith community within the South Ruwenzori Diocese.
