“Express Gratitude to God for Abundant Blessings” – Ven Kyooma tells Christians in Rubanda

RUBANDA – Archdeacon of St. Mark Nyaruhanga Archdeaconry in Rubanda District, Ven. Noah Kyooma has encouraged Christians to show their gratitude to God by giving back and acknowledge the blessings they have received in order to attract even more blessings into their lives.

Venerable Kyooma delivered this compelling message, yesterday during a fundraising service held at Kigazi Church of Uganda in Nyaruhanga Parish, Nyaruhanga Archdeconary, Kakore Parish, Hamurwa sub-county, Rubanda district.

In his sermon, Ven. Kyooma expressed concern that many Christians struggle with the concept of returning God’s blessings, even though they have received abundantly. He emphasized that this generosity should be an instinctual response to the divine blessings bestowed upon them.

In a significant moment during the event, Anna Asiimwe, the Rubanda District a hopeful Woman Member of Parlianment urged the residents of Rubanda to prioritize their children’s education as a key to securing a brighter future. Asiimwe stressed that Uganda’s path to prosperity lies in educating its youth, as this would reduce the high rates of child and drug abuse.

She encouraged parents to select schools that align with their financial capabilities and advised children to stay focused on their education, avoiding peer groups that could derail their future.

Asiimwe passionately called on the residents of Kigezi sub-region to unite against domestic violence, which she argued is a significant impediment to socio-economic development. She particularly highlighted the prevalence of domestic violence in Rubanda District, attributing it to excessive alcohol consumption and poverty. She emphasized the need for individuals to work and contribute positively to society rather than resorting to violence.

Mayor Aggery Bandeebaho of Hamuhambo Town Council, Rubanda East, echoed the importance of education, urging parents to ensure their children attend school promptly, especially as the current term had already commenced.

In a generous gesture, Anna Asiimwe contributed five hundred thousand shillings towards the roofing project of Kigazi Church of Uganda and pledged two entrance doors to the church, demonstrating her commitment to both faith and community development.
