Mungaara primary school, supported by the government and established under the auspices of the diocese of Kigezi, has faced challenges in recent times due to deteriorating infrastructure and lackluster performance in national examinations.

Earlier this year, former students initiated a fundraising campaign aimed at revitalizing the school’s facilities, including the construction of new classrooms. Progress has been notable, with one classroom block nearing completion.

In addition to the community’s efforts, the Rubanda district local government contributed 72 iron sheets to facilitate roofing and supported the construction of a four-stance pit latrine.
