KABALE: Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club in Kabale District has appointed former Uganda Cranes player Madoi Aggrey as the club’s Assistant Coach.
Aggrey, a former left-back for the national team, replaces Clifford Lukanga, whose contract has expired.
Aggrey, who previously played for several Uganda Premier League teams, including Vipers Sports Club, Police Football Club, Busoga United, and Wakiso Giants, was announced as the new assistant coach on Thursday. He is expected to bring a wealth of experience to the coaching staff.
Aggrey will serve as deputy to Head Coach Tushabe Denis, who has also extended his contract for two more years, according to an official club statement. The club is currently undergoing transitions, with new players expected to join as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Kigezi HomeBoyz finished the 2023 season in 9th place out of 15 teams in the Big League standings, marking a fair performance overall. The club’s primary goal for next season is to qualify for the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, the top tier of Ugandan football.
