KABALE – Kabale University Football team is today gearing up for a thrilling match against the University of Kisubi football team in the ongoing Pepsi University Football League 2023.
Kabale University Football team finds itself in Group A alongside the University of Kisubi, Bugema University, and Uganda Martyrs University. Currently, Uganda Martyrs University leads the group with three points and a goal difference of two, having secured a victory over Bugema University in the group opener yesterday.
Farouk Nsubuga, the head coach of the university team, expressed confidence in his squad of 25 well-prepared and fully trained players. He emphasized that there are no injuries to worry about. The match is scheduled to take place at the University playground on Kikungiri Hill in the southern division of Kabale municipality at 3:00 PM.
Isaac Tumwesigye, the chairperson of the sports and games union at the university, along with Manisuri Turyasingura, the team captain, conveyed their determination to put up a spirited performance and secure a home victory.

In a significant boost to the team’s morale, Jaram Baguma, the director of Macro Hardware, yesterday generously donated 10 footballs, a set of bibs, 2 pairs of football boots, and corns. Mugume also pledged a reward of 100,000 shillings for the man of the match.
He offered valuable advice to the players, urging them to stay committed, maintain good discipline, and steer clear of distractions such as relationships, alcohol, and other temptations that could potentially hinder their progress.
