The meeting brought together the Church’s Board of Trustees (comprising Bishops) and a delegation from Hamilton Telecom led by Group Chairman, John Kamya.

Archbishop Kaziimba described the proposed partnership as a transformative opportunity to leverage mobile technology for more effective communication, improved service delivery, and broader community engagement within the Church.

“This partnership will enable the Church to establish a unified communication channel, enhance service delivery across our institutions, and create employment opportunities for the youth. It also offers a sustainable revenue stream without the need for upfront capital investment,” said Archbishop Kaziimba.

In the same meeting, a team from Provide and Equip, led by Dr. Moses Bagyendera, presented the Land Management Information System (LMIS), a tool developed to establish a clear, factual record of the land owned by the Church of Uganda and to protect it from land grabbers.

Rev. Dr. Jasper Tumuhimbise, the Chief Executive Officer of the Church Commissioners Holding Company Ltd, described the system as user-friendly and announced that it will be officially rolled out soon.

He commended the Trustees for their continued support in the mass land titling exercise, which is being conducted in partnership with the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
