RUKIGA: Students in southwestern Uganda, Rukiga District, have been warned against yielding to political pressures, particularly those from opposition parties aiming to sway them from loving their Mother Country.
During an orientation session for senior students and career guidance at Kantare Secondary School in Kashambya Sub-County, Rukiga District on Wednesday, Captain (Rtd) Christmas Damson Kivumba emphasized the susceptibility of young Ugandans to political manipulation, especially by opposition groups seeking to undermine their patriotism.
Captain (Rtd) Kivumba, also serving as the Chairperson of the Kantare Secondary School Old Students Association (KANTOSA), urged students to uphold genuine patriotism and resist any political coercion aimed at instigating a change of government. He emphasized that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is a structured party, assuring that it will facilitate a peaceful transition of power when the time comes, ensuring continuity.
