KAMPALA: On Wednesday, 21st August 2024, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni held a meeting with a group of over 100 musicians at State House, Entebbe. The gathering was organized by Ms. Hellen Seku, the Commissioner of Patriotism in the Office of the President.
The delegation of musicians, including Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone, was led by the President of the Uganda Musicians Federation, Eddy Kenzo.

He encouraged the artists to use their music to promote the National Resistance Movement (NRM)’s message of wealth creation, emphasizing that this would bolster the government’s efforts to alleviate poverty and improve the livelihoods of Ugandans.
The President also urged the musicians to demonstrate patriotism by composing songs that contribute positively to the country’s development.
He directed Commissioner Seku to organize patriotism and ideological training for musicians before the end of the year.
