Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson, stated that the rider was traveling from Kisoro towards Kabale. Upon reaching a corner descending towards Mukivundwe, he lost control of the motorcycle, went off-road, and fell into a trench. The impact caused him to hit his head on the road pavement, resulting in his death at the scene.
Maate further explained that the scene was visited, processed, and documented. A postmortem examination was conducted, and the body has been handed over to the relatives. The accident has been attributed to over-speeding.
