RUBANDA: The State Minister for Finance, Hon. Henry Musasizi, has urged the people of Rubanda District to prioritize development and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) agenda over religious and tribal affiliations.

Speaking at a thanksgiving service at St Mark Nyaruhanga Church of Uganda Archdeaconry, held in honor of Allen Kamusiime, a retired teacher in Rubanda District on Sunday, Minister Musasizi emphasized the importance of supporting leaders committed to the NRM’s vision.

“Don’t focus on religion, don’t focus on tribe; focus on the leaders who believe in the NRM Party. That is the NRM agenda,” Musasizi declared.

“In the upcoming elections, I intend to assess how government programs are performing and what actions you are taking to develop your families,” he added.

Minister Musasizi also called on church leaders to actively participate in the fight against poverty, emphasizing that the success of the NRM government’s economic empowerment mission depends heavily on grassroots support.

He further advised the congregation to make the most of their land, regardless of size, by engaging in productive activities.

“Utilize your pieces of land, however small, for productive purposes. The NRM has promoted the four-acre model, and its results have been impressive for those who have embraced it,” he said.
