KASESE: Kasese High Court is scheduled to deliver a final judgment on a case in which James Byaruhanga, a 40 year- old resident of Kinyamaseke Town Council is accused of allegedly defiling his one and a half year- old biological daughter.
Court presided over by Hon. Justice David Makumbi on Tuesday heard that on June 02, 2023 in the morning hours, Byaruhanga allegedly defiled his own daughter when the minor’s mother had gone to the neighbor’s home to get salt.
While at the neighbor’s home, the baby’s mother heard her child crying and upon reaching home she allegedly found the husband half naked prompting her to make an alarm calling for an invention of the neighbors.
But when the neighbors arrived at the scene of crime, Byaruhanga had disappeared and the matter was reported to Police at Kinyamaseke Police Station.
Police then subjected the victim to a medical examination that proved that the minor’s private parts had been tempered with.
A manhunt for the suspect was launched leading to his subsequent arrest. The High Court is scheduled to deliver the verdict tomorrow (Thursday).
