KASESE: A delegation from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) is in Kasese District on a fact-finding mission regarding the contentious Bwenanule land, which was allegedly purchased by the government to resettle flood victims currently encamped at Muhokya Resettlement Camp.

The Muhokya Resettlement Camp, located in Kasese, Uganda, has been home to flood victims displaced by the devastating 2020 floods that swept across the district.

In July 2021, the Prime Minister pledged that the government would resettle the victims, but the promise remains unfulfilled to date.
