RUBANDA: The Rubanda District Woman MP hopeful, Jacqueline Katabazi, has urged Christians to embrace prayer and hard work as essential pillars for achieving holistic development.
Speaking on Friday at the launch of the Kakore Rugambwa Parish Traders and Farmers SACCO at Kakore Parish grounds, Katabazi emphasized the importance of saving for both personal and family growth.
“No family can thrive or develop without saving. Even small amounts of savings can accumulate into something significant for our families,” she said, encouraging everyone to begin saving, regardless of how modest the amount may seem.
She also stressed the importance of borrowing money responsibly for development purposes.
“Development follows when you borrow money for a worthwhile project, but always remember to repay the loan,” she advised, adding that timely loan repayment is crucial for keeping SACCOs strong and capable of supporting all their members.
Katabazi expressed her gratitude to the Bishop of Kabale Diocese, Rt. Rev. Callistus Rubaramira, for consistently teaching the value of balancing hard work with prayer.
“Prayer alone will not bring wealth. It is the combination of hard work and prayer that leads to success. This is something our Lord Bishop has always reminded us,” she shared.
To support the SACCO, Katabazi made a donation of 1 million Ugandan Shillings and also provided a computer and printer to assist with the SACCO’s administrative needs.
