KAMPALA: The NRM Deputy Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Namayanja Rose Nsereko, has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to empowering youth and women in achieving household food security.
While addressing attendees at the Youth and Women in Agro Systems pavilion during the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) conference in Munyonyo last week, Namayanja highlighted key initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga.
“These programs aim to enhance financial inclusion and provide access to markets for agricultural products”. She said.
Namayanja also underscored the importance of adopting affordable technology for value addition in agriculture.
“We are working towards resilience and unity, recognizing agriculture not only as a means of livelihood but as the foundation for a prosperous and inclusive Africa. Achieving this vision requires multi-sectoral and international collaboration,” she said.
