RUKUNGIRI: The Office of the Prime Minister has delivered 6,125 kilograms of maize flour and 6,125 kilograms of beans as relief aid to victims of the recent hailstorm in Western Division, Rukungiri Municipality.
The relief items were delivered on Monday to the office of Rukungiri Municipal Town Clerk, Paul Kalenzi. In a response letter to Kalenzi, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Alex Kakooza, emphasized that the relief supplies are intended specifically for families and individuals affected by the hailstorm, not for the general public.
Kakooza further instructed that the relief food should not be stored in the municipal council stores for more than five days.
