The Church of Uganda’s Kingdom Development Organ (KIDO) on Tuesday conducted a capacity-building workshop for Diocesan KIDO Coordinators from across the Province.

The event aimed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively implement KIDO programs in their respective dioceses.

Held at the Provincial Secretariat in Namirembe, the workshop was officially opened by the Rt. Rev. Fredrick Jackson Baalwa, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Kampala. In his opening remarks, Bishop Baalwa underscored the critical role Coordinators play in the success of the initiative.

“As Diocesan KIDO Coordinators, you are crucial to the success of this initiative. I encourage you to work collaboratively, share best practices, and leverage each other’s strengths to achieve your goals,” he said.

Rev. Canon William Ongeng, Provincial Secretary of the Church of Uganda, highlighted KIDO’s purpose in fostering a self-reliant church that can mobilize resources and support the socioeconomic transformation of its members.
