Sheikh Kamugisha Kicked Out of NRM Kabale Race for Defying RDC Resignation Rule

The Wakiso Deputy Resident District Commissioner (DRDC), Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha has been disqualified from the race for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Kabale District, following a directive issued by Dr. Tanga Odoi, Chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission.

According to Tanga Odoi, Kamugisha, was found to have violated party regulations by failing to resign from his government post before participating in the primaries.

His disqualification leaves Bridget Asinga, the LC5 Councillor for Kyanamira Sub-county, as the sole candidate in the race, barring any further developments.
