The Electronic Court Case Management Information System (ECCMIS) Technical Committee on Tuesday launched a two-day training session at the Supreme Court Conference Hall for non-judicial staff deployed in Cluster Five Courts.
The training targets personnel from the High Courts of Jinja and Lugazi, the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Jinja, and the Bugembe Magistrate’s Court.
The session was officially opened by the Acting Registrar, Inspectorate of Courts, His Worship Angualia Moses Gabriel. In his remarks, HW Angualia commended the participants for embracing ECCMIS as a key component of the Judiciary’s digital transformation efforts.
“Your dedication to this training underscores your commitment to modernizing our justice system. It’s a testament to your willingness to adapt and embrace change,” he noted.
HW Angualia reiterated that ECCMIS is designed to address inefficiencies in manual processes, reduce case backlogs, improve access to justice, and enhance transparency across judicial operations.
He urged attendees to fully engage with the training, explore all the system’s features, and collaborate to ensure smooth implementation at their respective stations.
“Don’t just learn the system, become champions of its adoption. Help us bridge the gap between technology and service delivery,” he added.
Joseph Ssinabulya, ECCMIS Project Manager, introduced participants to the system’s core features and functionalities.
He emphasized the importance of maximizing the learning opportunity, noting that ECCMIS is built to streamline workflows, enable timely case tracking, and improve service delivery.
The training includes modules on user registration, e-filing, live demonstrations of key functionalities, and the specific roles of various users, including judicial officers.
A highlight of the day was an interactive Q&A session that offered participants the chance to seek clarification and deepen their practical understanding of the system.
The session was moderated by Samalie Nakabanda, Systems Administrator.
