Police in Rubanda District are investigating the gruesome murder of 41-year-old Deus Tukacungurwa, who was allegedly hacked to death by his 16-year-old daughter, Orikiriza Sarah, in Mungaara Cell, Kyenyi Parish, Muko Sub County.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday morning at around 6:00 am. At the time, Tukacungurwa’s wife, Tumuheise Mary, had left home with one of her children to dig, leaving the deceased asleep with the other children.

Tumuheise reportedly returned home at around 8:30 pm from the garden, only to find her husband lying in a pool of blood inside the house, with none of the children present. Alarmed, she called neighbors, who confirmed that he was already dead.

One of the younger children, identified as Miracle Trust (7), later narrated to the mother that at about 6:00 pm, she saw her father kill a rabbit belonging to Orikiriza Sarah.
