Kamuli District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Nasser Mukiibi and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Alex Kifuuse have been arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court over alleged embezzlement of more than Shs 600 million from the district’s Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Fund.

The charges were brought this afternoon by the Inspectorate of Government’s Anti-Corruption Division in collaboration with the Uganda Police’s Criminal Investigations Directorate and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The officials face multiple counts, including abuse of office and causing financial loss.

According to the prosecution, between May and June 2025, Mukiibi and Kifuuse, together with another suspect currently at large, misused their positions to authorize irregular payments to suppliers such as Raven Knights Ltd, Total Uganda Limited, and Mufumba Daniel, the district engineer.
