The Principal Judge, Lady Justice Jane Frances Abodo, has urged judicial officers to fully embrace the Electronic Court Case Management Information System-ECCMIS, emphasizing the need for accurate and timely data input.

She made the call on Tuesday while officially opening a two-day training for judicial officers on ECCMIS at the Supreme Court Conference Hall in Kampala.

Lady Justice Abodo described the training as a significant milestone in the Judiciary’s ongoing efforts to modernize court processes through technology. She noted that ECCMIS is central to improving efficiency, transparency, and access to justice, adding that the system has already been rolled out in several court stations and will continue expanding across the country.

However, she cautioned that incorrect or incomplete data entry undermines effective decision-making and fails to reflect the Judiciary’s true workload.
