‎Bishops from the five dioceses under the Mbarara Ecclesiastical Province have concluded a five-day pastoral visit to Kabale Diocese with a joint Mass at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral.
‎
‎The visit, organized under the Mbarara Ecclesiastical Province Association (MEPA), was led by the Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese, Lambert Bainomugisha. Other bishops in attendance included Robert Muhiirwa of Fort Portal Diocese, Francis Aquirinus Kibira of Kasese Diocese, Vincent Kirabo of Hoima Diocese, and the host, Callist Rubaramira.
‎
‎Addressing the faithful at the start of Mass, Bishop Rubaramira revealed that the bishops arrived earlier in the week and engaged in a series of pastoral and development activities aimed at strengthening the Church’s mission.

These included a workshop on Thursday focusing on improving the education sector within their dioceses, a joint meeting on Friday, and a visit to St. Paul’s Seminary on Saturday.

‎Bishop Rubaramira explained that the visit was centered on planning the way forward for various sectors of Church life, strengthening evangelization, and enhancing service to the faithful through coordinated efforts.

‎Bishop Rubaramira further noted that the bishops of the province have agreed to hold such engagements annually after Easter to review their pastoral work, assess progress, and chart strategies for advancing the mission of the Church.
‎
‎The visit underscores the commitment of Church leaders in the Mbarara Ecclesiastical Province to collaborative planning, strengthening education, and deepening the spread of the Gospel across the region.
