Police in Wakiso District have arrested Musisi Allan, a boda-boda rider operating motorcycle registration number UEA 067F, after he was intercepted transporting nine children from the same family.
Musisi is currently detained at Kakiri Police Station and has been charged, pending court proceedings.
According to police, all nine children belong to one family and were reportedly handed over to the rider by their parent for transportation.
The Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety Public Relations Officer, SP Michael Kananura, strongly cautioned parents and guardians against such risky practices.
“Such situations are preventable if safety is taken seriously. Let us prioritize the protection and well-being of our children at all times,” he said.
