A section of residents in Rubanda District has praised the leadership of LC.5 Chairperson Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba following the completion of his first five-year term and his re-election for another term in office.

The residents, together with local leaders, technocrats and supporters, gathered at a dinner organized in honour of Kasyaba’s leadership, with speakers highlighting what they described as major improvements in service delivery and infrastructure development across the district during his first term.

The function was organized by Kasyaba’s friends and supporters under a youth pressure group known as “Rubanda Buddies,” a community of elite youths operating through a WhatsApp platform that has for nearly a decade engaged in social, economic and political mobilization within the district.

Speaking during the event, Dinner Coordinator Allan Ayebazibwe said many of those who attended had actively participated in Kasyaba’s mobilization campaigns during both the 2020/2021 and 2025/2026 elections.
