KABALE – The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, has assigned the task of identifying a project for funding worth One Billion to the Kabale Woman Member of Parliament and Ndorwa East County MP. The designated project is set to be constructed in Kaharo Sub County in Kabale district.

Tayebwa made this announcement yesterday during the wedding ceremony of the Presidential Advisor on Kigezi Affairs, George William Kanagizi, and Flavia Kanagizi. The wedding took place at St. Mathew Church of Uganda Kumbura in Bugarama Sub County, Kaharo Sub County of Kabale District.

During his speech at the ceremony, Tayebwa, who is the son-in-law to Kanagizi, highlighted the historical reputation of the Bakiga as hardworking people. He urged them to continue working diligently for the development of the area.

Tayebwa also emphasized the need for residents to focus on demanding constructive programs that can bring positive transformation to the region, rather than burdening leaders with requests for party contributions and condolences.

Tayebwa specifically urged the community to collaborate with Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira and Honorable Wilfred Niwagaba to identify a worthwhile project for funding. He stressed that the chosen project should either be a school or a hospital, considering it as a fitting reward for being a son-in-law to Kanagizi.
