KABALE – The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira has urged married couples to prioritize unity, faithfulness, and loyalty to fortify the foundation of a lasting marriage.
Hon. Atwakiire shared these insights during the joyous wedding ceremony of Eng James Atukwase and Agnes Katushabe, which took place at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral in Kabale Municipality.
Eng James Atukwase, the groom, happens to be a nephew to Engineer Didas Ndamira, the Director of Vidas Construction Company. Engineer Didas Ndamira is also the spouse of Hon. Atwakiire Catheline Ndamira, adding a familial connection to the auspicious occasion.
The ceremony was presided over by Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira, the Bishop of Kasese Diocese, who presided over the proceedings.
During her address, Hon. Atwakiire emphasized the significance of nurturing royal and faithful relationships between spouses to strengthen and enrich their marriages. She highlighted the importance of mutual commitment and unity as fundamental elements in building a lasting and harmonious marital bond.
In his homily, Bishop Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira of Kasese Diocese underscored the responsibility of Christians to contribute positively to society by utilizing the blessings bestowed upon them by God.
He urged the congregation to actively engage in acts of kindness and charity, emphasizing the transformative power of benevolence in enhancing one’s spiritual journey and leaving a positive legacy.
