JINJA – Government Chief Whip Hon. Denis Hamson Obua, presently serving as the Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio, lauds the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces for achieving a noteworthy and versatile transformation while ensuring peace and security.
Addressing the Senior Command and Staff College (SCSC) Kimaka in Jinja on Saturday, Obua emphasized the UPDF’s evolution into a comprehensive force, extending its impact beyond military operations to contribute significantly to national development.
“I express gratitude to His Excellency, The President of Uganda/Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the entire Army leadership for molding UPDF into a well-rounded force grounded on the principles of Duty, Integrity, Ethics, Honor, Courage, and Loyalty,” remarked Obua.
He represented the absent Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Without Portfolio, Rt. Hon. Rukia Nakadama, expressing her sentiments through a message.
Nakadama highlighted the Cultural Gala’s theme: “Harnessing African Unity and Security through Promotion of our rich Cultural Diversity for a Common Destiny,” stating it will equip senior officers with essential skills for serving humanity.
“This training will empower our security forces to identify areas where they can leverage cultural similarities and diversities to enhance security execution and preserve humanity,” remarked Nakadama.
