RUKIGA
A boda boda cyclist knocked a four year old child dead on Tuesday 27th June 2023. According to Elly Maate, the Kigezi Police Spokesperson, this happened at about 5:00pm at Nyarwigata village along Katimba_Kyabuhangwa murrum RD in RUKIGA District.
The victim has been identified as Crisan Ansiimire aged 04 years a resident of Nyurugata cell who was knocked dead by a yet to be known motorcycle registration number plate.
Maate added that police received reports of a hit and run fatal accident from sgt Birihanyomyo George, scene was visted, postmortem not yet done and the rider is on run.
He added that the motocycle is being treesed as investigations are still at hand. A case of Hit and Run fatal accident was registered at Rukiga police station under file number REF: TAR 15/2023
