Three people have died and six others were injured in a fatal road crash that occurred on Thursday at around 3:30 PM in Rucece, along the Ntungamo-Mbarara Road.

The accident involved three vehicles: a Fuso Fighter (registration number UBF 727S), a Toyota Wish (registration number UBL 839Q), and a motorcycle (registration number UFF 926Q).

According to SP Michael Kananura, the Community Liaison Officer in the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety, preliminary investigations indicate that the Fuso Fighter and the motorcycle were both traveling from Ntungamo towards Mbarara.

Kananura stated that the Fuso Fighter attempted to overtake the motorcycle but knocked it in the process. The driver of the Fuso then lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn and veer into the opposite lane, where it collided with an oncoming Toyota Wish.
