Chief Magistrates Court Adjourns Threatening Violence Case to November in Kisoro

KISORO – The Chief Magistrates Court in Kisoro Presided Over by His Worship Kenneth Komakech has adjourned the case involving the threat of violence to November this year.

The accused, Tusabe Denis, also known as Katusi, a resident of Muko Village in Nyarutembe Parish, Nyabwishenya Sub-County, Kisoro District, allegedly threatened and caused the death of a minor baby belonging to Byaruhanga Kenneth and Chimanizanye Godiliva on February 26, 2023.

After spending five months in remand at Kisoro Government Prison, Tusabe Denis was granted bail on July 7, 2023, with a cash bond of 1.5 million shillings.

In today’s court appearance, the prosecution informed the court that the convict’s lawyer was unavailable, and the complainant requested an adjournment.

Chief Magistrate Komakech, after considering the prosecution’s request, decided to adjourn the matter to November 1, 2023.

He advised Denis’s representatives to coordinate with Chimanizanye and the state to ensure the availability of Chimanizanye’s lawyer on the specified date.
