Police in Kasese District have arrested two men accused of defiling and impregnating a 13-year-old Primary Six pupil.
The victim, reportedly a pupil at Kasese Primary School, is the daughter of a resident of Katadoba Cell in Nyakabingo II Ward, Central Division, Kasese Municipality.
Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson, SP Nelson Tumushime, confirmed the arrest of Elijah Masereka (17) and Azad Sseguya (20), both residents of the same area. He said preliminary findings indicate that the suspects allegedly defiled the girl on September 14.
Tumushime expressed concern over the rising cases of defilement in Kasese, noting that last week police also charged Gilbert Ainebyona (27), a salon operator at Kikorongo, for allegedly defiling another 13-year-old Primary Six pupil.
