The body of a young woman, estimated to be in her twenties, was discovered in a room at Unique Bar and Lodge in Kasanga B Cell, Kasese Municipality.
Justus Mbusa, the Local Council One Vice Chairman for the area, confirmed the incident, noting that the circumstances surrounding the body raised suspicions of a possible suicide.
Speaking to concerned residents and passersby at the scene, Mbusa said the report had been brought to his office by the lodge owner, Bulemu, around midday, before police arrived to investigate.
He urged members of the public to assist in identifying the deceased.
