KISORO: Residents of Kirundo Sub County and Rubuguri Town Council in Bukimbiri County have applauded the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Eddie Kwizera Wa-Gahungu, for personally funding the construction of community roads in the area.
The overwhelming gratitude from residents follows the MP’s continued efforts to improve local infrastructure. Currently, the second phase of road construction is underway, with a target of 100 kilometers of new roads.
   This builds on the first phase, where 110 kilometers of roads were opened at a cost of 300 million shillings.
Our reporter visited Rubuguri Town Council and Kirundo Sub County to witness the ongoing construction of the Kashaka-Kasharara road, which connects the two areas.
At the construction site, residents expressed their deep appreciation for Hon. Kwizera, noting that he is the first legislator they have seen using personal resources to develop the community.
They highlighted the challenges they previously faced in accessing markets, schools, and health services, emphasizing how these new roads will significantly improve their daily lives.
