The High Court of Uganda in Rukungiri District has issued an interim administrative order restraining Miss Tourism Kigezi Initiative Ltd from proceeding with the Miss and Mr. Tourism Kigezi 2025 event.
The event, which was scheduled for June 28, 2025, has been suspended pending the hearing of Miscellaneous Application No. 29 of 2025 on June 30, 2025.
The court order, issued on June 25 by Assistant Registrar Atigo Hellen, also bars the respondent, its agents, and associates from advertising or conducting online voting related to the event.
The case stems from a legal dispute filed by Miss Tourism Uganda Pearl of Africa Ltd against Miss Tourism Kigezi Initiative Ltd, seeking to block the planned regional pageant.
Both parties were represented by their legal counsel during the court session. The matter will be further heard on June 30 to determine the way forward.
