KISORO: A four-year-old pupil at Bright Valley Junior Pre and Primary School in Kisoro District is currently nursing wounds after being assaulted by her stepmother.
The victim, identified as Crescent Twinomujuni, was reportedly assaulted by her stepmother, Charity Ninshaba, a resident of Central Division in Kisoro Municipality. According to Moira Kampire, the Kisoro District Probation Officer, the incident took place on Tuesday and has been formally reported at Kisoro Central Police Station.
Kampire expressed concern over the child’s condition, noting that he is currently unable to stand on his own. She urged parents to exercise caution when entrusting their children to relatives and admonished guardians with cruel intentions to reconsider their actions and exhibit compassion.
