The People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) is experiencing a rapid increase in membership, driven by community support for the party’s pro-people ideology, according to Saulo Maate, Kasese District Coordinator for PFF.
Some of the new members include fourteen defectors from the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), notably Jane Muhindo, the FDC’s published secretary, and Samuel, the general secretary for Isule Parish in Maliba Sub county.
Alongside Ezekiel Bwambale, these former FDC members cited PFF as the only viable alternative to continue their struggle for freedom and human rights, a mission they previously associated with Dr. Warren Kiiza Besigye of FDC.
Speaking to party members on Friday, Maate highlighted that the party’s growth, including recent recruits from other political formations, signals a strong strategic mobilization.
“Unlike other opposition parties losing members, PFF continues to expand by welcoming citizens and leaders alike,” he said.
