Minister Musasizi Donates 100 Iron Sheets to Ihanga Church of Uganda in Rubanda

RUBANDA: The State Minister of Finance, Henry Musasizi Ariganyira on Tuesday donated 100 iron sheets to aid construction efforts at Ihanga Church of Uganda in Bubare Sub-county, Rubanda District.

The brand new, pre-painted iron sheets were delivered to the church leaders today by Mr. Pius Tumwiine, also known as Small, the Bubare Sub-county LC 3 Chairperson. Tumwiine also conveyed a message from Minister Musasizi, who is also the Rubanda East MP and NRM Chairperson for Rubanda District. In his message, Minister Musasizi pledged continued support for the church’s development plans and encouraged Christians to work hard and embrace the government’s poverty alleviation programs aimed at improving the socio-economic standards of their communities.

While receiving the iron sheets at Ihanga Trading Centre, Mr. Andrew Monday, the Ihanga Church of Uganda Lay Reader, accompanied by church members, expressed gratitude to Minister Musasizi for the generous donation. Mr. Monday mentioned that some of the 100 iron sheets would be used to roof the Lay Reader’s residence at Ihanga C.O.U, which is part of the Bubare Parish, Bubare Archdeaconry, Diocese of Kigezi.

Speaking at the same event, Ihanga Parish LC.II Chairman Patrick Rubaramira and John Bagorogoza, the LC.1 Chairman of Karubanda Village where the church is located, noted that Hon. Musasizi had promised to roof the Lay Reader’s house during a recent burial ceremony in the locality. They thanked him for keeping his word.

Meanwhile, this marks the fourth donation from Minister Musasizi to churches in Rubanda District in less than a month. A few weeks ago, he donated 100 bags of cement to Nyaruteija C.O.U in Hamurwa Sub-county, another 100 bags of cement to Hamurwa C.O.U, and a Yamaha brand keyboard to Hakishenyi Catholic Church in Nyamweru Sub-county.
