After being elected as the area MP, Hon. Kwizera Eddie Wagahungu used 300 million shillings from his own savings to open 105 kilometers of new roads. These roads primarily connect villages to villages, sub-counties to sub-counties, and market centers.
During a two-week county-wide tour to mobilize locals to embrace the census exercise and other government projects, Hon. Kwizera was dismayed by the poor condition of the roads he had constructed. He emphasized that town councils and sub-county councils need to present their requirements to the district council to ensure these roads receive adequate maintenance funds from the local government.
He plans to open more roads in the constituency, worth 200 million shillings.
