Rugambwa announced that she is currently delivering various items, provided by President Museveni, to support group members in six districts of Rukungiri, Rukiga, Ntungamo, Rubanda, Kabale, and Kisoro.
She shared that a recent donation of 300 million shillings from the president will be allocated to meet members’ diverse needs, with some interested in onion farming, coffee planting, and chicken rearing, all aimed at eradicating poverty in the areas they serve.
This donation follows eight years of complaints from community members and leaders about delays in delivering promised items to Boona Bagiegahare members.

However, Rugambwa criticized certain leaders, particularly in Rukungiri District, including Resident District Commissioners and a minister, for allegedly obstructing the distribution of mattresses to beneficiaries.
She urged them to allow the items to be distributed as intended.
She called on all local leaders in the group’s operational districts to work with her to serve the community and pursue their mission of poverty eradication.
Since the group’s founding in 2016, they have aimed to provide members not only with mattresses but also with additional resources like piglets, chickens, and coffee seedlings to boost income.
