He urged the public to stop prioritizing alcohol over essential responsibilities such as providing for their families, paying school fees, and meeting rent obligations.

The priest also expressed dismay at the widespread craving for waragi (local alcohol), which he believes has overshadowed the desire for spiritual growth and the word of God.

He attributed this to an increase in domestic violence, with some women forced to leave their homes due to neglect and abuse.

He lamented how the excessive consumption of waragi is eroding family values and causing men to abandon their duties as heads of households.

Rev. Anyogyere called on the community to reflect on their choices and embrace a life centered on faith and responsibility.
