The Rukiga District LC5 Chairperson aspirant, Edmund Atusasire popularly known as “Researcher” has called on women across the district to adopt a culture of saving, describing it not as a luxury but as a vital strategy for securing a better future.

Atusasire made the appeal on Wednesday while engaging with women’s groups, particularly Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), during a community outreach in Bucundura Parish, Kashambya Sub-county, Rukiga District.

During his interaction with the groups, Atusasire reaffirmed his commitment to empowering women and promoting sustainable grassroots development.

He highlighted the critical role women play in community transformation and underscored the need to support them through practical initiatives.

He further emphasized the importance of education and vocational training as key drivers of economic independence.
