The Microfinance Support Centre has pledged to sponsor a study tour for women entrepreneurs and market vendors from Katakwi District under the Emyooga program.

While addressing women from three county SACCOs during a capacity-building session at Katakwi District Headquarters, Francis Elwoku, the Eastern Uganda Regional Manager who represented the Executive Director, confirmed the planned tour.

“We urge the team leaders of various groups in the counties to coordinate with the leadership teams to facilitate the tour smoothly,” Elwoku stated.

He emphasized that the Microfinance Support Centre is committed to supporting the SACCOs and plans to inject additional seed capital into the three county SACCOs.

Elwoku encouraged the women to continue saving and strengthening their SACCOs for sustained growth.
