During Women’s Day celebrations at Nyakihanga playground in Kashekye Parish, Kamwezi Sub County, Rukiga district on Saturday, community members raised their concerns. The event, themed “INVEST IN WOMEN: ACCELERATE PROGRESS,” highlighted several local issues.
Addressing the locals, Teddyson Niwagaba, the Kamwezi Sub County LC3 chairman, raised alarms about the poor condition of roads in the sub-county. He added that it is unfortunate that Kashekye Parish, despite having a large population and health facilities, lacks reliable electricity.
