KABALE: Kabale District Council is accusing the Uganda Peoples’ Defense Forces (UPDF) Engineering Brigade of performing substandard work on several government projects in the district.
According to the District Speaker Flavia Nyinakiiza Kanagizi, during their monitoring and inspection of projects undertaken by the brigade, they discovered subpar work in the water, health, and education departments. Nyinakiiza specifically mentioned that Muyumbu Health Center II in Kyanamira Sub County and Nyanja Health Center II in Maziba Sub County both exhibited significant structural issues, including cracks in the walls and roofing.
She requested Resident District Commissioner Godfrey Nyakahuma, District Chairperson Nelson Nshangabasheija, and Chief Administrative Officer Fred Kalyesubula to investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
