KISORO – The ChairPerson of Kisoro United Boda-boda operators, Robert Kalangala has cautioned Boda-boda cyclists to safeguard their motorcycles from thieves ahead of the Christmas festival.
Kalangala warns that during the festive season, thieves often target and harm Boda-Boda cyclists, particularly at night. He emphasizes that motorcycles are frequently stolen when their owners are at bars, enjoying alcoholic drinks, participating in dances, and attending ceremonies or parties.
Kalangala highlights challenges faced by Boda Boda riders, attributing some issues to political leaders, especially members of Parliament. He notes that these leaders have encouraged the formation of two separate associations within the same district, creating additional complications.
In response to these challenges, Kalangala calls on cyclists to be vigilant, emphasizing the importance of knowing the people they interact with in various areas of the district. Looking ahead to 2024, he encourages the Bodaboda community to unite and focus on new developments, leaving behind the issues of the current year, 2023.
