RUBANDA: The Rubanda West County Member of Parliament, MP Moses Kamuntu Mwongyera, has called on leaders in Rubanda District to stop competing against each other and instead collaborate with Minister Musasizi to ensure the district benefits from national resources.

“If we focus on internal conflicts, we will miss out on government benefits. Given that we are fortunate to have the Finance Ministerial post, we need to humble ourselves and work closely with Minister Musasizi for the benefit of Rubanda’s residents,” MP Kamuntu stated.

He urged the district’s residents to keep Minister Musasizi in their prayers, emphasizing the importance of his position in the Ministry of Finance for both Rubanda District and the country.

“That ministry is crucial. We almost lost it a few years ago, but now that we have it, we are seeing significant benefits and are very pleased,” MP Kamuntu remarked during the district’s belated Women’s Day celebrations on June 28, 2024, at Kacerere Playground in Bufundi Sub County, Rubanda West County.

Ndorwa East County Member of Parliament, Honorable Wilfred Niwagaba, also encouraged Rubanda District residents to heed Minister Musasizi’s advice to foster development.

“Ndorwa East County and Rubanda District have been closely aligned since Minister Musasizi took on his role in the Ministry of Finance (General Duties). Since his appointment, Ndorwa East has benefited by over 5 billion shillings,” MP Niwagaba noted.

He reminded residents that as long as they remain under the leadership of Minister Henry Musasizi, who is also the Rubanda East Member of Parliament, and Stephen Ampeire Kasyaba, the District LC5 Chairman, they will continue to gain more from the government, ensuring the district’s continued prosperity.

Rubanda District LC5 Chairman, Stephen Ampeire Kasyaba, highlighted that with Minister Musasizi’s full support, the district budget has increased annually, contributing to steady growth and improved service delivery.

Kasyaba revealed that with the minister’s support, the district has received nearly 2 billion shillings for the 2024/2025 financial year, which will be used to develop education infrastructure, among other sectors.

“This budget increase is no accident. It results from our strong connection to the Ministry of Finance through Honorable Minister Musasizi. He has supported the district in various ways, including securing close to 2 billion shillings this financial year for education infrastructure development,” Kasyaba said.
