KANUNGU – Youth in Kanungu district are urging for increased empowerment and inclusion in government programs to participate in the money economy.
According to Ivan Mushana, director of Tree Uganda Academy, a youth entrepreneur focusing on the Agriculture Value chain, many lack the necessary skills, capacity, and capital for income-generating projects.
Speaking at the launch of MK Movement’s inter-region activities at Farmers Lounge in Kajara Cell, Southern Ward, Kanungu Town Council yesterday, Mushana highlighted the challenge of transportation hindering product distribution due to the absence of a chain truck to access markets.
He called on the government to provide equipment and allocate funds to empower youth in joining the money economy.
