KABALE – Primary schools in the Northern Division of Kabale Municipality have commenced their Pre-Primary Leaving Exams.
The Northern Division schools include Kigezi High School Primary, Hornby High School Junior, Kabale Preparatory School, Kijuguta Primary School, Lower Bugongi Primary School, Sunrise Preparatory School, Makanga Primary School, University View School, Bugongi Primary School, Ebenezer Church School, Winner Junior School, Peace School, and God’s Favor Primary School.
Muchunguzi Isaac Rushoga, the Chairman LC3 Northern Division, handed over the exams to the school head teachers and headmistresses on Tuesday morning at the division headquarters.
During the handover, Rushoga emphasized that these exams aim to prepare and sharpen pupils, dispelling any fears they may have as they gear up for their final primary leaving examinations.
He urged head teachers to handle and supervise the exams diligently to prevent irregularities. Additionally, Rushoga encouraged headteachers to guide and instruct their colleagues on how to foster positive relationships with students.

Byamugisha David, the head teacher of Kigezi High School Primary and the Chairperson of the Head Teachers’ Association in Kabale Municipal Council, called on schools to ensure rigorous supervision during the exams. He noted that the exams were received in good condition, well-packed, and sealed.
Byamugisha urged both teachers and students to avoid absenteeism, emphasizing that it could lead to students struggling in their upcoming final exams.

Primary seven candidates are scheduled to sit for their final exams on November 7th, with the briefing taking place before the actual examination papers are administered on November 8th to 9th, 2023.
